Autonomy of the Mind

West coast villain livin' in a sunny place full of shady people. A walking contradiction. If somewhere along the lines I were to be misjudged and I were to blame someone, it would be me for not being articulate myself properly.

Passion not fashion

"It's just music. It's not your life, it's not a movement, it's not a lifestyle. The way you live is a lifestyle- not the clothes you wear, the way you look, or the bands you listen to. No matter how much you wanna argue, your hairstyle, the clothes you wear, and the bands you've liked, have changed in the past 7 years. All of that is just part of life. Have a good time. Quit trying to belong. Don't worry about people accepting you, cause you have to accept yourself first. In reality that's really all we are all trying for- to be content." - Tony Lovato
Best believe when I say I love music just as much as the next kid. Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.Music is a total constant. That’s why we have such a strong visceral connection to it, you know? Because a song can take you back instantly to a moment, or a place, or even a person. No matter what else has changed in your or the world, that one song says the same, just like that moment.” -Sara Dessen (Just Listen). Music is what feelings sound like, it washes away the dust of everyday like. What would life be like without music? I don't plan to find out. However, don't get it twisted by calling it your LIFE.
There's a lot of confused people out there nowadays. Seems like everyone is caught up in the "hype" and throwing away their money buying their DSLRs and JDM cars when in reality, they don't even know how to work the settings on the camera and just want to flaunt their car. You know what's fucking stupid?! When people pretend to fucking drive a stick when it's completely obvious that shit is auto. LOL, i see the kids these days at the stop light with their hands on the stick-shift and putting it in neutral, haha gtfo. No, i don't know much about cars except for the basics, but I like nice cars and daydreaming about what kind of car i'll be in one day. Oh and hey, I'm not a photographer, but I enjoy good photography, and I don't believe I'm a mac makeup artist, but I wear make up. I could be contracting myself, but it's about what you love, not what the lastest people on mtv are doing.
The term “Hypebeast” has been stretched around so much that I can never tell when its being used as a compliment, derogatory term, or plain insult. I mean, its a culture that many people wanna to get into, to look nice and fit in essentially. But to the trained eye, one can tell whenever people are trying to put on a facade of “I’m more superior than you, check my kicks, my fitteds, my jeans, my tees, etc etc”. Fuck that. Its usually these kinds of people that grill the hell out of you as soon as they even feel a shred of competition. Competition in the context of seeing who is “rocking” the best attire. As for many people, they hate competition, and go to great lengths to sort of out-do them and gain some acknowledgment from others. How do they do this? Rob them, find out where they shop, or find something similar, the list goes on. Well eventually you have a whole population of people that look exactly the same but with a few variants.

…No soul so that means he don’t care about your euphoria
Deals under the table, he says fuck Karma I love putting dudes out the Loop
His religion he has to Obey because he goes to Crooks and Castles
in 10 deep to practice his True Religion.
Acquires the choir to ring the Hellz Bellz
and in Hundreds he’ll divide them making the girls Forever 21…

And since when was Hip Hop only about sex, drugs, and money? Hip Hop wasn't like this before. I’m not saying there aren’t any impressive artists out there, I know there are, but sometimes, their songs appear way too many times on the radio, so people get tired of hearing the same things being played over and over again, maybe it's just me. Music plays such a huge role in our lives. If all people hear on the radio is sex, sex, sex, drugs, drugs, drugs, of course majority of us will want to do it! There’s so much more to Hip Hop than sex, drugs, money, and being famous. The history behind it so is fascinating. I can’t say that I truly know Hip Hop, well because I don’t. I can’t say I truly know it because there’s so much more to learn and there’s so much meaning behind everything. I’m still trying to learn about it and I’m still trying to grasp the culture. Music and Art is pretty much what drives our Country..so why is it that once a school needs money, Music and Art is what’s being pulled out first? I’m sure quite a few people would disagree, but this is what’s going through MY mind.    Big ups to those of you who actually enjoy dance, cars, photography, etc. for yourselves. But to the kids who are hopping on the bandwagon just to look cool when you don’t even really know anything about this shit: you are rotting away modern culture one component at a time. What I'm trying to say is it's not about what you do as long as you love what you do, passion not fashion. Don't get into it cause it's the new "hype" or trend.

Sorry about jumping around topics, but yeah, This is like almost 1000 words, wtf. I should get extra credit.
