Autonomy of the Mind

West coast villain livin' in a sunny place full of shady people. A walking contradiction. If somewhere along the lines I were to be misjudged and I were to blame someone, it would be me for not being articulate myself properly.

Writing Groups

  • What are some things you'd like to get out of writing more collaboratively with peers?
Writing collaboratively with peers would help the flow of ideas take shape. We could have new ideas and references that would better our writing skill. Also, writing together gives us the chance to be proof read by others. This is a good technique to catch our mistakes because the mistakes are not always visible to us and having a second opinion help
  •  What are some things you'd be willing to contribute to a writing group?
I would share my thoughts and opinons and it would give me that change to proof read and critque other.
  • Is it more important to you to work with friends, or with people who are writing the same types of things you are? (Of course, it's possible to have this both ways...) Explain why.
It really just depends on what my writing topic is about. A lot of the things I write as blogs are personal to my daily life and having friends that know what's going on helps understand and justify the situation as opposed to people around me who have no idea what I'm talking about. However, working with others gives you a chance to have a fresh outlook on writing.
  • What are some "rules" (or at least guidelines) you'd like to see in a writing group?
Only constructive criticism and feedback should be allowed because belittling others on there writing should not be put off as critique. Keep it clean and friendly, offer commentary and helpful insights. Other than that, people should KNOW what is off limits.
