Autonomy of the Mind

West coast villain livin' in a sunny place full of shady people. A walking contradiction. If somewhere along the lines I were to be misjudged and I were to blame someone, it would be me for not being articulate myself properly.

Tomodachi Sushi Bistro

So why limit myself to Alameda foods i thought, let’s expand. So recently, I decided to eat out with some of my cousins. We were in Hayward so we decided to go to a nearby sushi restaurant called Sushi Bistro. It looked good enough and well worth the wait. Well guess what, I was wrong. Can't say it was the first time I was wrong about something, so don't judge a restaurant by the number of people in it, looks can and will be very deceiving.
First, my uncle came in earlier then we did so we told him to order a kamchi kama (fish head [taste better than it sounds]), since those usually take longer to order, approximately thirty minutes. We got lost so we left him waiting for about 45 min, Yikes ! However, when we arrived, that fish head still was not there yet, then after 15 min of sitting down, our fish came. Not having have eaten anything since noon, we all digged in and in about ten minutes, our fish was deader than i was before it was cooked. So this was after we order. 10 minutes in. Refills on tea, yay! 15 min. TALK TALK TALK, loud laughing from next table. Thirty five minutes. Bathroom, more tea, 45 minutes! Then my cousin and I got real annoyed. We had already asked the sever four times about our order and nothing was done about it! The other times we tried to tell someone or ask about the order, they would look at us and walk away! How completely rude! I was shocked. Then my uncle when up to the sever asking  demanding to know about our order ! After that was all sorted out, it turns out our order was mixed into the to-go pile.
After one hour and fifteen minutes of waiting, we finally got all four of our sushi platters. Simple rolls, one hour and 15 minutes. Looking at the plates of sushi, it looks like they took it out of the to-go box and just dumped it onto some plates! All the food was cold and soggy. Also, the proportions were much, much, much smaller than other places, no sauce or texture at all, and the sashimi cuts were completely terrible. Skin and flakes left on, thick chunks, what kind of cuts were those? No tips for them, Aha. Complete fail as sushi chiefs.

It was overpriced for fake Japanese food, I much rather go to others in the area (i.e. Ray's). One of out five stars. Had a nice atmosphere, but I won't be going back, DONE.
